Who is SiRVis?

Simon Francis Blaise R. Vistro wants to be known as SiRVis (an amalgamation of his name, profession and penchant for service). He is a polymath wannabe in the fields of training and education, civic voluntarism, sports, arts, travel, photography and social networking. Born and raised in Dagupan City, he is a staunch advocate of the preservation of Pangasinan language, arts and culture.

He taught at the University of Pangasinan which is the oldest private university north of Manila and founded by his great grandfather, the illustrious Dr. Blas F. Rayos, whom he aspires to emulate. He wrote for Sunrise, the weekly bulletin of the Rotary Club of Dagupan East under the byline @Your SiRVis. He was also the club’s Secretary. He is the Chapter head of the Ulupan na Pansiansiya'y Salitan Pangasinan Dagupan Chapter, and Incorporator/ Consultant of NABRO Pangasinan, Inc. 


He is active in several social networking sites like facebook, twitter, friendster, tumblr and plurk) for personal, professional, online advertising/ marketing, information dissemination and entertainment purposes.

SiRVis has been blogging since 2006 and maintains several blogs that speak of his advocacies, activities and adventures. SiRVis features personal works and civic volunteerism activities. What’s Up Dagupan is a blog about what's hip and hot in Dagupan City- a compendium of the news, events, culture, food, arts, language and music of Region I's "Pandaragupan” or gathering place. Pangasinan Blog and Aro Pangasinan chronicles the writer’s love and showcase of the grandeur of Pangasinan- the province, the municipalities and cities that comprise it, landmarks and tourist spots, the rich cultural heritage, the language, the arts and music, the food, the fiestas and activities, and especially the people. Blackboard, his first blog focuses generally on education and training. Pinoy Nurses Notes is for nurses and nursing students. SiRVis has also written several articles for How To Do Things. Recently, he was commissioned as a contributing writer at the Philippine Online Chronicles.
